About the event

Join us for a community event, a short, educational walk for all ages, celebrating Millburn’s role in America’s journey to freedom.

Take a short walk through Millburn’s rich Revolutionary past, beginning at Vauxhall Road, near where the Battle of Springfield unfolded in 1780. Follow the path to the historic Hessian House, then to the Revolutionary War kiosk in Taylor Park, and finally to the Battle of Springfield Rock in front of Town Hall. Along the way, local volunteers will share stories of bravery, strategy, and sacrifice that shaped our nation’s fight for independence, a living tribute as America approaches its 250th anniversary.

This guided walk will be led by long-time Millburn resident Vince Nascone and Millburn–Short Hills Historical Society intern Shaurya Tanna, who will share their knowledge and passion for preserving Millburn’s Revolutionary heritage.
