About the event
Join art historian Larissa Bailiff as she explores the richness and diversity of American art from 1700 to the present and traces the ever-loving story of of American creativity. Drawing from a once-in-a-lifetime exhibition collaboratively presented by the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in honor of America's 250th Anniversary, Bailiff will highlight artists, such as Charles Wilson Peale, Thomas Eakins, Horace Pippin, and Georgia O'Keeffe, whose work has helped shape the nation's cultural fabric and express its myriad histories.
