Experience History Come Alive – Battle of Springfield Day
Step back into 1780 and witness the sights, sounds, and stories of the American Revolution at Battle of Springfield Day in Taylor Park. This immersive event will showcase how soldiers prepared for battle, from cooking meals and setting up tents to rolling out bedding and testing rifles. Visitors will also learn about the women and children who accompanied the army, providing essential support through laundry, sewing, nursing, and daily care. Throughout the day, reenactors will be on hand to share the details of 18th-century army life, including uniforms, flags, and traditions, while families enjoy interactive activities designed to connect both kids and adults with our nation’s past. Join us as we honor Millburn’s pivotal role in the Revolutionary War and celebrate our heritage leading up to America’s 250th Anniversary of Independence.
